Aha! The famous "Pink Album" recorded in 1980
during the height of Johnny Dee's popularity.
Side A was from a live Valentine's Day broadcast on KLBJ
from Steamboat on 6th St., Austin, TX.
Side B was entirely original music to be pitched to major labels,
recorded at Johnny Dee's home by Malcom Harper,
owner of Reelsound mobile recording,and featured
Eric Johnson playing guitar on the song "No More."
My two songs on the original side are "With or Without You"
and "Sugpuddle" (lyrics for Sugpuddle written by Carl Phinney).
My stage name was Bobo Bush,
named after the Beat Generation term for pot.
Because of the band's amazingly hectic schedule,
and the agony of my impending divorce,
I left the band before approving the test pressing as a co-producer.
In fact, I disappeared, and came to my senses
on the Amtrak Coast Starlight. Needless to say
the guys weren't too happy with me. However,
they kept my songs and my performances on the released version
of the record without a publishing contract,
a BMI writer's release, a mechanical license, or an artist's contract.
I had to buy my own copy. Both of my songs
are now published by Jaded Bum Music, B.M.I.
Because JD & the 88 's Records never settled up with me,
or agreed to a retroactive mechanical license
as recommended to me by my representative at Harry Fox,
they do not have permission to re release or broadcast this record
in any way. Not to worry, it's been out of print for years.

In order to protect my ownership and dispose of
the incorrect information printed on the sleeve and label,
I'll be glad to reimburse you for your out of pocket expenses.
